Kristin has had profound experiences with this inner healing tool personally and has been using it with betrayed partners with incredible results. If you want a deeper connection with God and increased capacity you’ll want to hear Kristin and Dr. Lehman’s dialogue in this episode! Has anyone ever said to you, "You should be ashamed of yourself!" If so, did it help you identify and change an unwanted behavior? Or did it just make you feel guilty and defeated? Jay Stringer, author of the incredible book, Unwanted: How Sexual Brokenness Reveals Our Way to Healing, shares with us a new approach to the conversation around sexual brokenness. Traditionally most approaches to unwanted sexual behavior are about suppressing desire or removing the shame associated with your choices. But neither of these truly lead to freedom. Jay offers a third approach, based on years of research, which shows that unwanted sexual behaviors are not random. These behaviors were both shaped and predicted by the parts of our story that remain unaddressed. The implication is that if you want to find freedom, you need to identify the unique reasons that bring you to it in the first place. Instead of trying to escape shame, let's look right at it and let it teach us. The Living Truth Podcast is conversations that shed light on the deeper issues beneath porn addiction, sex addiction, & help for those enduring the devastation of sexual betrayal this causes.

Jen & Brenda are both beautiful, smart, successful professionals whose worlds turned upside down when they discovered sexual betrayal in their marriages. Not one area of their lives was untouched by this crisis. They both helped Kristin start Women in the Battle in 2016 and continue serving because of how strongly they believe in The Power of the Group to transform women’s lives after sexual betrayal. Most women who come to Women in the Battle (including Jen and Brenda) are initially VERY resistant to the idea of going to a group. But well run betrayal trauma groups are such a powerful force of healing for women -leading them from utter devastation to post traumatic transformation. Listen in as Jen & Brenda discuss with Kristin why they keep showing up and serving to give back to newer women long after their own personal crisis has passed!
